河津七滝 その２ [滝]

河津七滝。続きです。
初景滝の先は急な階段で年配の観光客の方はメッキリ少なくなっていました。
蛇滝。落差3m 幅2m
「玄武岩の模様が、伝説の七つ頭の大蛇が持つうろこを連想させます。」
「玄武岩が蛇の顔に見える。」
この2つの説明って顔とうろこじゃ大きな違いがあると思うんだけど・・・
蛇滝
えび滝を見るために吊り橋を渡ります。

蝦滝。落差5m 幅3m
「白く流れる滝が、まるで えびの尾ひれに似ています。つり橋の上から眺めることが出来ます。」
「白く流れる滝がえびの尾ひれのようです。」

次は、釜滝を見るための吊り橋です。

この吊り橋を超えるとそこには・・・
釜滝です。落差22m 幅2m
「覆いかぶさるような玄武岩の上から流れ落ちる滝が美しい。この滝も、かつては地獄谷と恐れられていました。」
見事な柱状節理です。一番きれいな気がします。

この最終地点「釜滝」から戻って、駐車場も過ぎていくと、そこには最後の滝。
大滝です。落差30m 幅7m
「高さ30mの滝で、玄武岩の間を落下する水勢、規模の大きさは七滝中最大です。」
