明神池 [風景]

静岡県沼津市井田地区にある明神池です。
ちょうど「菜の花祭り」を開催していたらしく、開催期間は駐車場は無料となっていました。
ここに駐車場をお借りしてチョット明神池を散策してみました。
すぐ近くの井田海岸から富士山が見えていたので撮影してみました。
ここは、ダイビングポイントらしくダイバーさん達が潜る準備をしていました。
そのまま、井田海岸沿いの遊歩道を少し歩くと明神池が見えてきます。
明神池(海跡湖)のなりたち
明神池は”池”という名がつけられていますが、過去の入江が湾口を閉ざされて、次第に淡水に変わった「海跡湖」のひとつです。
伊豆半島の西海岸は、南方からの黒潮により、火山礫の岩が削られ、南から北へ運ばれ長い時間をかけて、湾口部の石礫の砂嘴がつくられていきました。戸田の御浜岬、沼津の大瀬岬がその例です。
明神池は、その砂嘴がやがて対岸に達し、閉ざされた内部の入江が海水から淡水に変わった「海跡湖」です。縄文時代前期(約5,000年前)に形成されたものと考えられ、海岸地帯の自然の変化を残すものとして、大変貴重なものです。
明神池の水は、井田地区の水田5haのかんがいに使われています。
面積：約1ha(南北260m、東西100m) 水深：約2m
このすぐ横には「こいのかけはし」が架かっています。

不安を残しつつ、明神池の周りを散策します。
休憩するベンチがところどころにありのんびり散策することができます。
そして、この桜並木。
キレイな桜です。
明神池を見てみると何かが浮いていました。
そんな撮影をしていると、またポチャンと・・・
音がしている方向を見ていると多分カメ
石の上で甲羅干しをしていて、足音に反応して逃げていったのでしょうか？
不気味な音もこれで解決

しかし、こんな不気味な状況でしたが、湖面に映る桜がきれいでした。
近くには「池大明神」がありましたので。

何年か前に、西伊豆の大瀬崎に行ってきました。やはり、鯉がいっぱいいる淡水湖があり、お写真とよく似た雰囲気でした。バスがなく、タクシーで行きました。ビャクシンの群生地で珍しい景色が見れました。
