続きまして「鏡池」
「不規則な長方形の小池で、湧出量はきわめてわずかである。水はつねに濁っているが、風のないときは、富士山がはっきりと映るため、この名がつけられた。
　この池の水は、ことの善意を見分けられるといわれ、麻那斯竜王をまつり、八海めぐり第七番の霊場で、今はない石碑には、「そこすみてのどけき池は これぞこのしろたへの雪しづくなるらん」との和歌が刻まれていたといわれる。」

ここには、残念なことに油のようなものが浮いていました。
鏡池の由来のように富士山が写った写真を撮りたかったのですが、曇っていたのでまた次回。



次は「濁池」
「川床に一区画をもった、ほぼだ円形の小池で、池としての景観をようやくとどめる程度である。部分的に濁っているが、少量をくみとるときれいである。
　阿那婆達多竜王をまつり、今は池に埋もれてないが、石碑には「ひれならす　竜の都のありさまをくみてしれとやにごる池水」との和歌が刻まれていたといわれ、八海めぐり第六番の霊場となっている。」

湧出量　　　　　　0.041立方メートル／秒
年平均水温 12度
水素イオン濃度　6.5

「湧池」
「直径約12メートルのほぼ逆円錐状の池で、直視深度約3メートル、潜水深度5メートル前後である。
　池の北端の開口部から湧き出る地下水の状態はすさまじく、周辺に生い茂るセキショウモが湧水の勢いにあおられてひるがえるようすは珍しいながめである。
　湧水量ならびに景観は八海中髄一であり、毎年9月19日には木花咲耶姫命の祭りがあり、八海めぐり第五番の霊場として八大竜王の一神、徳叉迦竜王をまつり、石碑には「いまもなほわく池水に守神のすへの世うけてかはれるぞしる」との和歌が刻まれており、現在も住民の飲料・かん漑用水供給源としてまことに貴重な湧水である。
