頼光対面の滝(不動の滝)

嶽之下宮奥宮の入口左の山道を進んでいくと、地蔵堂川を越える橋があります。
橋を越えるとすぐ左手に馬蹄石の看板がみえてきます。


たぶんこれが馬蹄石と思われるのですが・・・


この馬蹄石を越えるとまたすぐ次のスポット
竹之下の合戦伝説地「戦ヶ入り｣

説明では
「建武2年（1335）、竹之下に陣を敷く尊良親王をはじめ、二条為冬、脇屋義助らを将とする後醍醐天皇の軍七千、これに対して足柄峠に陣する足利尊氏軍十八万。両軍は12月11日早朝激突する。いわゆる「竹之下の合戦」である。この合戦は、大友、塩谷といった将たちの寝返りにあい、足利軍の勝利に終るが、後に足利氏が室町幕府を築く基礎となる戦いであった。「太平記」の記すところである。ここ「戦ヶ入り」は、戦いに入る、つまり合戦で両軍が最初に激突した場所という意味で名付けられたと伝える所である。」とのことです。
特に見処というものはありません

これを過ぎると次の目的地である「頼光対面の滝」の入口が見えてきます。

金太郎ゆかりの地「頼光対面の滝」の説明です。
「足柄峠から源頼光は赤い雲のたなびく峰を見つけ、家来の渡辺綱にあの雲の下には偉人がいるに違いないとして、急いで見てくるように命じました。渡辺綱は金太郎親子に頼光の意を告げ、この場所まで二人をともなってきました。頼光は早速金太郎を家来の一人に加え、渡辺綱・碓井貞光・卜部季武の四人を頼光の四天王としました。初めて金太郎が頼光に対面した場所の滝としてこの名がつきました。」

ただ、この横には「不動之滝入口」の石碑も建っていました。


この間を入っていくと、頼光対面の滝が見えてきます。


2段セットで滝なのか、上部だけで滝なのか・・・

ということで、上部のみがコチラ。


綺麗な滝でマイナスイオンがたっぷり浴びられそうです。

滝のすぐ横には、不動之滝信行道場があります。
この滝は、滝行に使われるのかなぁ


このぐらいの水量だったら滝行に挑戦してもいいかもしれません。

この辺りも良い所ですよね!!
